The coast of Oregon has many hiking trails along steep, rocky, tree-lined cliffs leading to spectacular views of the Pacific. This is typical of views through Sitka spruce and hemlocks on the five-mile round-trip trek to the tip of Cape Lookout. “On a clear day you can see south 39 miles to Cape Foulweather and north 42 miles to Tillamook Head.”
