Ready for Albacore Aboard Chena

Original Watercolor, 15″ x 20″

My son-in-law, Mike, and I were walking along the fishing boats in Newport, Oregon one morning looking at the various rigs. A friendly old gentleman named Captain Larry invited us aboard his boat, Chena. He was leaving the next day to fish albacore three hundred miles west of Hawaii. He was taking only two young deck hands. Chena is a converted WW II metal hull vessel.
