There are no coastlines more beautiful than Point Lobos. And to me the crown jewel of Point Lobos is Whalers Cove. It’s a natural shelter with historic significance. The Portuguese established a whaling settlement here in 1861. And in 1902 an abalone cannery was also built next to the whaling station.
