Original Watercolor, 16″ x 12″  Mounted on MDF panel and archival varnished with UVLS

It was sunrise as I was walking the docks among all the commercial fishing boats in Newport, Oregon. When I saw this small boat with its beautiful red colors against the complementary green backdrop, I took several pictures. When I noticed it had spelled “Newport” correctly on the port side, but had omitted the “o” on the starboard side … well, I had to paint it.
